Halloween 2013

We moved into our new place two days before Halloween.  We had an awesome idea for Halloween, but I didn't want to spend the money for the costumes and we didn't really have time to get them.  Some nice people from our new ward invited us to go trick-or-treating with them.  So we had to think quick for costumes. We had a ton of cardboard boxes since we were still unpacking.  So we decided to go all cardboard! Myles (randomly) decided to be a woodpecker all from cardboard. Wyn wanted to be a turtle ballerina with a cardboard turtle shell. Pierce and I were going to be "floating" in a cardboard hot air balloon. Kenny was going to be a giant cardboard hashtag. :)
However, like 30 minutes before we left the kids refused to wear the awesome cardboard costumes. So we went as The Incredibles.  Again. :)

A day or so later we made our traditional haunted graham cracker houses.

Wyn actually wanted to make a haunted graham cracker motor home. :)

Myles' awesome haunted house!

Kenny's haunted mansion.

And my haunted house.

This is one of my favorite activities to do with these guys!

Moving Day

The day after Wyn's birthday was moving day, and it was a doozy. I tried not to cry, but I did. A lot. Nevada was a great place with amazing people. It was really hard to say goodbye to Kenny's parents. I will forever be grateful that we lived so close to them while the kids were so young. Myles, Wyn, and Pierce formed some pretty tight bonds with Grandma and Grandpa Ludwig.

Below are some of my favorite friends!!
There's Megan and Lily, Me and Pierce, Traci, and Lindsay.
I miss those faces!!

Lindsay and I became friends instantly. She is super easy to talk to and we had tons in common. It's always sad and really hard to say goodbye to friends like her. We are pictured next to the stump in our front yard. That stump in the yard is one of my favorite places on earth!
One of my favorite people in one of my favorite places.

One of the best things about moving is that it usually involves stopping in Boise to see my sister, Tess.
My mom sent some fairy wings for Wyn and Penny to wear, but their older brothers wanted to try them out too. :)

Wyn was trying to fall asleep with her wings on.

Grandma Baird also made tutu's for Wyn and Penny.
Love those little ladies!!

Tess and Ryan took us to this cool mall that has a fountain and lights show. It also had a playground right nearby for the kids. It was fun!
My beautiful sister!!

Thanks to all those who helped us move out and in.  And a special thanks to, Tess, for letting us hangout for a couple days. :)

Wyn turns 3!!

On October 25th our little Wynni Girl turned 3.  It's hard to believe she's already 3. We are so grateful for her in our family. She's pretty easy going, loves to look at books, and is usually willing to play anything Myles wants. :)  She is also a great helper in the kitchen and anywhere really. We just love her!

On her birthday we had a McDonalds picnic in the park for lunch.

For her birthday cake she wanted the little sea turtle, Ella, from Turtle's Tale 2.

She was trying to hold up three fingers. :)

Life just wouldn't be as nice without Wyn.
Love you Wynni Boo.

A New Adventure

The Monday after we got home from our family reunion Kenny lost his job.  It was really unexpected and pretty unfair, but it happened and we actually felt pretty calm about the whole thing.  We knew that there was just something else we were supposed to do.  Since Ely, Nevada is a small town and pretty far away from anything else we knew we'd be moving.  We just weren't sure where. Thankfully, General Conference was the following weekend.  We received many answers during that conference.  After the first session and a lot of prayer we knew where we were supposed to go and when.  We felt very strongly to go to Washington and to go as soon as possible whether Kenny had a job or not. So that is what we did. We are so grateful for the power of prayer.

Ludwig Family Reunion, Part 2

Here's part two of our fun reunion in Vegas.

Swinging in hammocks.

The kids pool was awesome!
I was proud of Myles for jumping in and proud of Wyn for actually swimming around in her life jacket.

This is Kenny and his sister, Krista, waiting for the little train at Bonnie Springs.

On the train.
Myles was sitting with Grandma and Grandpa.

My little fish boy.

 My little mo-hawk boy.

Grandma and Wyn.

At the Mandalay Bay Aquarium.

Vegas has an awesome children's museum!
This is me and Wyn in the wind tunnel.  Our hair was blowing around like crazy.
It was fun!

Kenny getting blown around in the wind tunnel.

And that, my friends, is how he lost his wallet!
Thankfully, some awesome person turned it in and we got it back the next day.
Our reunion was so fun! I miss it when I look at these pictures.
Until next time!!

Ludwig Family Reunion 2013, part 1

In late September we went to Las Vegas for a Ludwig family reunion.
It was so nice to get away and so fun to be with our family!

We visited this old town called Bonnie Springs.

We went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. Super cool!

Myles was excited that he just touched a real sting ray. :)

 Myles and the jellies.
Myles and Wyn really love the movie 'Finding Nemo.'
So any underwater stuff they also love!

We had to go see the race cars of course!

A guy that worked there saw us taking a picture and let the kids hold some trophies for the second picture.

At this place you can drive a race car for a lot of money or you can be driven by this professional driver for two laps doing drifting. That is Myles and Wyn's favorite car to watch. Here's Myles giving him a high-five!

More reunion pics to come...
