Myles and Daddy Date

We've been trying to do weekly dates with the kids.
There's not tons to do around here, so sometimes we have to get creative so we're not just going to McDonald's.  Myles really likes to take pictures.  So for his last date with Daddy (in January sometime) they went around town taking pictures of whatever was interesting to him.
So here they are.

The sun.

His legos on his lap.

A sign.

The cemetery.

And a mud puddle.

It's kinda fun to see what's important to him. :)

Life with Pierce

So to be completely honest, I feel like my transition to having three kids has been easier than it was going from one to two.  Pierce is a pretty calm baby though.  He is also very gassy though around 3am! But the kids love him and I'm just so grateful Myles and Wyn play well together.  Another thing that has been helpful (and this will sound weird) is that the kids are still naughty in the ways that they used to be.  Wyn has a few more tantrums now, but for the most part I haven't had any surprises with their behavior.  Plus, I think having a baby around just brings a calmness to the house.

We got home from Salt Lake with Pierce after being gone for almost a whole week and hadn't seen the kids at all.  Myles looked at me and my stomach with wide eyes and said, "You had a baby! Do you feel so much better?" It was so sweet.  He took to Pierce very fast.  He loves to help him when he's crying and always wants to hold him and really wants me to let him walk around with him. I can also see in his eyes sometimes that he just wants to tackle Pierce and play with him. :)

Sweet Pierce.
Myles put his car "Casti" on him to play with.

Every time we've had a baby I end up with the baby on the couch and Kenny follows us out and he sleeps on the floor.  He is the best and sweetest!
Here he is getting extra snuggles in the morning from Myles.

Snuggles from Wyn.

Wyn wanted to hold Pierce the day after we came home, but wasn't completely sold on the idea of giving up her spot as the baby. She's doing much better now though.

 Love babies!

Myles and Daddy.

I is for Igloos!

For preschool a few weeks ago we were learning about the letter 'I'.
We made igloos out of marshmallows, frosting, and styrofoam cups.
An idea from pinterest, of course. :)
Myles asked if we could add some smarties too. So we did.
The kids loved it and had a great time!

Noodles and New Years

For Christmas, Kenny and I decided to get a pasta attachment for our mixer.
This is us learning how to use it!

New Years Eve was not much more exciting than this.  We had the missionaries over for dinner and went to bed before the ball dropped. :) Happy New Year! Yay for being done blogging about 2012!!!

Christmas cookies, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Morning!

Myles is in his super suit but it's not Halloween.  It was
just days before Christmas. We wear super suits a lot around here. :)
Here is Myles making and eating Christmas cookies.

Decorating the Christmas cookies.

Now enjoying them!

This was also days before Christmas, but I included it because
I love how much Wyn loves the piano.  It makes it a little tricky for me to
practice, because every time I play she runs in wanting to play too.

A master on the piano. :)

Christmas Eve
We had our traditional Christmas pizza on Christmas Eve this year.
Grandma and Grandpa Ludwig came over and we each opened one present.

This year we had Myles and Wyn pick out presents for each other.
So on Christmas Eve we had them open the ones from each other.

Myles got Wyn a Minnie Mouse tea set.
This girl loves tea parties!

Wyn got Myles this number truck that Myles really wanted,
but rarely plays with now. :)

Tea party, anyone?

Christmas Morning
I'm sad that I only have two pictures of Christmas day.
The battery died on our camera right after these pics. :(

Myles wide awake bright and early.
He came in to snuggle me, like usual, around 5:30 am and he asked,
"Is it Christmas?" It was so cute I couldn't get mad at the early hour. But
I did make him wait till 6 to go wake up Wyn.

This is possibly the worst picture ever of me, but it was too funny not to include.
We are all so sleepy looking!
Gotta love Christmas morning!! :)

The kids had a great time opening presents and then playing with them.
I think the present most played with was the pillow racer.
Then later in the day we went to Grandma and Grandpa Ludwig's house for Christmas dinner.
It was delicious and fun to be with more family.
I have to be honest, I don't feel like we focused on the Savior enough this Christmas. That will be our goal for this whole year.

December 2012: Happy 8th Anniversary!!

On December 18th, Kenny and I celebrated our 8th anniversary! Crazy!!
He was gone on a business trip in Arizona on the actual day.  So a few days before, on the 15th, we went out and celebrated. We went on a romantic date to Subway and then went grocery shopping by ourselves. :)  There's not a whole lot to do in this town, but we have a good time when we get to go grocery shopping by ourselves.
Happy Anniversary, Babe!! Love you!!
Oh and this picture was taken after our date.  For some reason we took it in the bathroom! :)

December 2012: Snow, Snow, Snow!!

In December we got some good snow to play in.  The kids were a little hard to get outside, but once we got them out there they liked it.

My little accessory girl!
This little lady loves hats and any other kind of accessory she can find.

We are still working on getting the right snow clothes for the kids,
but they looked super cute in what we had.

Myles and Kenny made that little hill of snow to sled down.

My job was to pull Wyn around in the sled.

Kenny's job was shovel the deck.
He looks cute doing it though!

This is one of my favorite pictures ever.
I just want them to stay little like this forever.

Crash down the hill!

I was pretty excited when I got this picture! :)

We've had fun with the snow, but I think we are definitely ready for summer now!! :)

December 2012: Myles' 4th Birthday!

Myles turned 4 on December 10th!
I can't believe he's getting so old. Childhood just goes way too fast.

For his birthday he was very specific.
He wanted a bright green (his favorite color) Mercedes made out of mini cupcakes.
We tried our best!

He had lots of people at his party.
Our friends the Browns came. His Auntie Krista came with cousins, Christian and Eden.  And Grandma and Grandpa Ludwig came too.

Daddy got him a Mercedes emblem.

Wyn eating ice cream. :)

Auntie Krista and cousin Eden.

We love our little Myles Man.
Life wouldn't be so fun and interesting without him.  I'm not ready for him to get so old, but I guess parents never are.

November 2012: Another 30 year old and Thanksgiving!!

November brought another birthday in our family and another holiday of course! We love the holidays!!

We also got a new camera in November and Kenny was trying it out on the kids before church one Sunday.

Kenny turned 30!!
Myles and Wyn were pretty excited to see the table all decorated
in the morning. And Myles couldn't wait for Daddy to open his present, because he got him a
hot wheels car that he (Myles) really wanted. :) Wyn got him a nerf gun.
In honor of his age we got him 30 presents! There was lots of candy involved.

Wyn on the morning of Daddy's birthday.

And finally Daddy made it out to see his birthday surprise.

Opening presents.

The party after Kenny got home from work.

Kenny's favorite kind of cake is the confetti cake with rainbow chip frosting.
The kids and I decided to spice it up a bit with adding different colors to the frosting.
And the big card in the back is from the kids.  They did such a good job making it!

Some random pictures taken in November.
Myles loves to make his food into pictures.
Here is a "house" he made. :)

I love it when I find my kids doing this!!

Wyn and a messy cookie?
I can't tell and don't remember what she's eating here.

Thanksgiving!!!
Who doesn't LOVE Thanksgiving?! Okay, so Kenny doesn't, but he is good about enjoying it with me
even though he's not a turkey or ham fan.
This year we had visitors come! My sister Ylfe and her family came.
It was so fun! We just love those guys!!

A tea party!
Wyn's older cousins, Jessi and Meri, are so good at playing with her,
and she loves them to pieces!

Here's everybody eating.
Sorry for the darkness of the picture.

The Teare family.
In back: Zac, Shawn, Ylfe, Brayton, and Ethan.
Up front: Jessi, Meri, and Orion.
Such a sweet family. Love you guys!!

Setting up for Christmas!!
Christmas is always such a fun time.
As the kids have gotten a little older they are loving it more
and more each year.

Not sure what happened to this picture, but Wyn looks cute.

And out comes the Christmas train.
Myles loves this thing!
