For all you Twilight fans!

Before we moved from Oregon, there was one thing I had to do...go to the cafe that was in the Twilight movie of course!!! I know, I'm such a nerd! But I grew up 15 minutes away from that tiny cafe, always passing it on my way in to the mall and never once did I stop to eat there. Then we saw it in the Twilight movie and knew we had to go. The food was pretty good and a girl I went to high school with actually owns it now. Crazy! Anyway, so here is my documentation of the trip.

Inside the cafe!

It was a girl's day out with the exception of Myles and my nephew, Kurt. Starting from the left of the table and going around we have my sister-in-law Tyra, her brand-new baby Phoebe, my mom, me, Myles, my sister Krystal, and her baby Kurt.

Outside the cafe!

So this video is funny because I thought my camera was on picture mode when I handed it to my mom. I must've switched it to video mode though before I gave it to her. So here we are just standing there smiling because we thought it was just a picture, not a video. But I had to post something of the outside so you all believed me that we were really there! :)

I've also started reading the Twilight books again. I guess to prepare for the New Moon movie coming out in a few months. I'm reading Eclipse now, and I have to say that I like the books even better the second time around. I'm excited to see the movie, and Kenny thinks it's funny that I think it would be fun to go be an extra in one of the Twilight movies. But hello! It would be, right?! :)

Not Just Gadgets...

I wanted to post a quick blurb about Myles as well. Not only is he a gadget freak, but he is also an accomplished athlete. He got a hold of a little wooden bat that sits on my desk and knew just what to do with it. :)

Feel the power!

It feels good

I'm tough. I use bats like this for toothpicks.

I dare you to throw one down the middle.

I like this game.

Here Mom, I'm done.

Gadget Guy!

This blog has been ignored long enough. Sorry about that. We moved and everything got wild and crazy. Things are starting to settle down again so I guess that means I should post. :)

The move went well. It's really fun to be in a house! Our favorite part about our new adventure in life is that Kenny gets to come home every day for his lunch break! We live only a mile from his work!

Myles is moving around like crazy! His favorite and fastest mode of transportation is rolling. He will roll all the way across the room to get to whatever he's eyeing. We love watching him grow and develop!

He's recently taken an interest in all types of gadgets. His favorites are remote controls and cell phones. He loves our giant remote control! He's our little Gadget Guy!

Our New Place

Well everyone, the days flew by and we will be moving in a couple of days. We are super excited and also sad. We have made some wonderfull friends who are more like family, and are leaving family to whom we have grown even closer.
I wanted to put a picture with this post so that it will be quasi-entertaining. This is a picture of the house that we will rent in College Place. It is a couple of miles from work and also really close to church and shopping.
Jandi is really excited to live in a house and have a yard and a place to garden. I am excited to have a garage! Yeah baby.
We can't wait to get up there though, and even better is that Ryan and Tess are going to come out. We can't wait to see them. We haven't seen them in a while so it will be great to catch-up.

Onions and Tulip Fields!

Well, it's time to announce that Kenny, Myles, and I are moving to Walla Walla, Washington. What's there? Onions. And Home Depot where Kenny has been promoted to assistant store manager. I am so proud of him! He has really worked hard for this promotion.

We are sad and excited for the move. Moving is something that has always been fun and exciting to me, but now that we've lived close to family for two years I'm a little sad to leave. Our ward is awesome too! We've made some really good friends here. Mostly, I will miss my amazing sister, Krystal. It's been so fun to look out my window and know she's right down the street.

I didn't have any pictures to put with this post which is why I decided to post our trip to the Tulip Festival as well. Kenny and I went two years ago together and we knew we had to take little Myles to get a few family pics. I think we will definitely take a family trip each year to the Tulip Fields, because a family picture in an onion patch just isn't the same. :) Although, that does actually sound funny. So maybe we'll do it.

Myles and Daddy!

Myles and Mama!

The whole fam!

Oh, I forgot to say that we found a cute little house to rent. Our first house! We're very excited for that! We feel extremely blessed and grateful for this new opportunity in life!

Road to Home

I know that Jandi will want to blog about our trip to Walla Walla, WA so I will write about our drive.

It was pretty uneventful, which was great considering we were taking an almost 5 month old on an almost 5 hour drive. Myles was so great. We tried to time when we left for Walla Walla around his nap time so that he would sleep for a couple of hours. We were only partially successful. Needless to say he was great but our guilt made us stop more frequently so we could get him out of the car seat and walk around.

On the way back we stopped in Arlington, OR so Myles could eat. There is this little park right off the highway so it made for a relaxing pit stop. We got out and walked around a bit and took some pictures by an old Union Pacific rail car that was on display. It was fun and since my Grandfather worked for the railroad it made for a nice picture.

I went walking around the park by myself when Myles was feeding. I say feeding because he is in a growth spurt right now and seems ravenous.

I took some pictures of some ducks cause I was bored. Here is a funny one.

The Fun Run

April 19, 2008 was an awesome day!! My little sister, Tess, and I ran our first, but definately not last, half-marathon! It was seriously so much fun! We started in the early morning, and it snowed for about the first 5 miles. I should explain that it wasn't an actual race. There was an actual half-marathon going on that day, but we decided we just wanted to do our own. So I made a 13.1 mile route around Molalla and that's what we ran!

My nephew was also being baptized later that day. So there was a lot of family in town that decided to meet us at the finish line. Kenny took the day off work so he could meet up with us at different mile markers and give us water/video tape us.

We ended at a park near the apartments we live in, and to our surprise Kenny and Ryan (Tess' husband) were blasting the Rocky music from the car. And the little kids you see chasing after us are our nieces and nephews.

Our sister, Krystal, made this awesome video for us! If you have about 2 minutes and want to laugh, watch it! Make sure your volume is turned up. It's funnier that way! Enjoy! Thanks Tess! That will always be one of my favorite memories!
