Bring on the PINK!

It's a girl!!! We are excited!! It feels a little unreal because I really don't know what to expect with raising a girl. We are sure it will be fun though. We'll post some ultrasound pics soon. Love you all!

Any Guesses??

Tomorrow is the big ultrasound! Hopefully we will be able to see if the baby in my belly is a boy or girl. At this point, I really have no idea. Every time I go to the doctor I feel like it's a girl, but then other times at home I'll think it's a boy. Kenny thinks it's a boy. Any guesses?

My BIG excuse for not blogging!

Myles is going to be a big brother!!! That's right, I'm pregnant!
I am 18 weeks along now and we find out in two weeks what we're having. We are hoping for a another boy, but we'd be very happy with a little girl too. I just don't know how I feel about doing little girl hair. I see so many cute hairdos on little girls, but I just don't know. It looks like a lot of work! I have a hard enough time wrestling a diaper on Myles these days. How would I wrestle a hairdo on a little girl?!
Anyway, we're excited and aren't quite sure what to expect with having two kids. My strategy right now is to just enjoy Myles and try not to think of what it will be like with two little kiddies that need my attention.
A lot of the pictures below are from last weekend when my sister, Krystal, and I went to a wedding for one of the young women in my old ward. It was so special to be there! And it was full of lots of fun sister time! :)

Myles loves 'helping' me do the dishes!

On our way back from the wedding we stopped at our other sister, Tess', house. Graham and Myles are sporting matching shirts that support peas :) (That's Myles' favorite food)

On our drive back from the wedding it started snowing!!!!! Where I live it's Spring. Idaho and Utah haven't caught on to that idea yet.

Me and Myles outside the Logan temple.
Bride and Groom! She looked gorgeous!!
Krystal and I were close with these girls when we worked in young womens.

Our trip was really short and at times crazy, but so much fun!! I'm so glad we got to go and that we went together! Thanks Kryt!!

My Myles

Not many people get to see the true side of Myles and this picture just captures it all. He's a very happy, sweet little man, but with strangers or even family and friends he doesn't see very often, he gets pretty shy. With annoying cashiers at Wal*Mart trying to make him smile he usually delivers a stone face. (I always give him a high-five after that, because I don't blame him being weirded out by those complete strangers' silly faces.) Kenny and I have often said, "I just wish people could see how cute/fun/happy he really is." I guess that's part of the joy of parenthood though- you know your child better than anyone else.
Anyway, I love this picture because he's so relaxed and happy, and that's just his personality. He is such a joy. The past couple weeks whenever I've looked at this pic I just think, "I love my life." It's so good! I should never complain, because I truly have it all. I LOVE MY LIFE!
Have a great day!

Once there was a snowman...

About a month ago it snowed and we decided it was time to take Myles out to build his first snowman. We took a picture of our snowman every day so we could document his short life in our backyard. It was lots of fun!!

Snowman life: Day 1

Day 3

Day 4
I wish we would've named him, but oh well, next year! :)

The Month of December...finally!

So I know this is a bit late, but our month of December was quite busy. First was Myles' birthday, then our anniversary, then our wonderful Christmas together!! We had a great month! So here's a post so I can catch back up to speed on my blogging! :)

Our 5 year anniversary!!!

I just love this guy! Isn't he so handsome?! It's been such a great five years. We've had so much fun together. I'm so glad I have him for eternity. He's the coolest!! (oh, and he's very patient with me, which I appreciate! :) )

Christmas

People have always told me that Christmas is so much more fun with kids. I never believed them until this year. I wanted to give Myles his presents early, but resisted. Kenny and I couldn't help ourselves though and opened presents from each other almost every day until Christmas!
Myles got his motorcycle that he wanted and loves it so much! He's such a car guy!

This is such a hilarious face I caught from Myles. He was inbetween smiling. It's almost like an Elvis face.

Anyway, we had a great December!!

Myles Turns One!!

My sweet little baby guy turned one on the 10th. So crazy! This has been such an amazing year for the three of us. We've learned a lot, and Kenny and I continue to be amazed by all the cool things Myles does. We love him so much!!!
Here are a few shots of the big day.

Nothing is traditional in our house! This is Myles' "cake". Myles does not like bread. Since cake is a similar texture I gave him some at Kenny's birthday a month ago and, like I thought, he spit it right out; multiple times. Anyway, he loves graham crackers, grapes, and cars so this is what we came up with. A graham cracker car with a grape family in front! And no, the grape family does not have arms. That was too hard.

Myles went for the grapes first, then just like on any other car, he went for the oreo wheels. He held them up and tried to spin them. Then I picked one up and took a bite. He copied and loved his first sugar rush!

The whole gang was there! Myles does not always like his human friends' noises. So we opted for his "quiet" friends. :)
Presents! He loves his Tonka car collection! He zoomed all day long!

First time opening a present. This was early morning before all the party guests arrived.
Myles and Daddy bouncing balloons around the room. He loved the balloons!!

It was such a great day!! We just love our Myles Man!
