Kids in Snow Suits

Before we had kids all I ever heard about having kids was how hard it was or how it would change everything. No one ever told me how darn cute kids look in snow suits! Oh my gosh, I just want to eat my children they look so cute!! So next time I have a conversation about having children with someone who doesn't have them, I'm just gonna tell them that kids are so darn adorable in snow suits and they should have them!!! :)

"Chic-ka, chic-ka, CHOOO CHOOO!"

Christmas was so fun this year! I love that Myles really got into it. All day long we heard things like, "Chic-ka, chic-ka, chic-ka, CHOOO CHOOO!" or "Oh bash my buffers!" and even, "Difficult bend! Difficult bend!" He really likes Thomas the Train if you couldn't tell. And he LOVES his new train set! The boys spent the day playing trains and slot cars (thanks Grandma and Grandpa Ludwig), and the girls spent the day trying on new clothes and hair clips! :) I really like having a little girl in the house! And we actually joined in and played with the boys too. It was such a nice relaxing day with the fam!

Bright and early Christmas morning!

Kenny and I have a tradition to make homemade pizza for dinner on Christmas. Usually we like to make fruit pizza for dessert, but this year we tried a gluten free pizza cookie. It was fun and so yummy!

Myles and his "chooch."

Opening presents wasn't exciting enough for the little lady.

We had a great Christmas and hope all of you did as well. It's such a beautiful time of year to remember and be grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope I can do a better job this coming year of remembering Him throughout the whole year and not just during this season. Love you all!!

p.s. I was thinking of sending Christmas cards, but this year I never got past the thinking stage. Sorry! Next year!! :)

A Boy and His Train

Shortly after Thanksgiving Kenny and I had the great idea to buy a train to go around the Christmas tree. Little did we know that it would've made the perfect Christmas present for Myles. He LOVES it! Now that we've had it for almost a month Kenny and I are NOT in love with the train! It only has one volume. LOUD! And although it's supposed to be around the tree, it's anywhere but. However, it brings so much joy to our little man's life that we can't get rid of it. We are very excited to put it away after the holidays though. Hopefully the smaller and quieter train set we did get him for Christmas will suffice for the rest of the year. :)

p.s. We watch The Polar Express a lot around here!

6 Years and in LOVE!!

Yesterday was me and Kenny's 6 year anniversary! WOW! It's gone by so fast. I'm such a lucky girl to be his wife. I love this guy so much! He's such a great husband and father.
We went out to Panda Express for dinner and then to a Christmas party. It was a good time! I love you, Kenny!

p.s. I find it sad that I look at that picture and think we look kinda young. :(

Wyn's Blessing Day

Our little Wyn Aubrey was blessed on December 5th. My parents were able to come out for the blessing, which was really fun.
Baby blessings are just so darn sweet, aren't they? Myles started screaming right when Kenny took Wyn up to be blessed so I actually missed most of it. However, my mom took notes on it which I read later, and it was a really beautiful blessing. We also had another little baby blessed that same day and I got to hear all of her blessing. It was just the sweetest thing. I'm so grateful for the gospel and these special blessings that our little ones get to have.
Auntie Tyra made Wyn's beautiful blessing dress. Thanks Tyra!!! A little girl in our ward said to her mom, "Look Mom, Wyn is wearing her wedding dress." So cute! I completely forgot to take a picture of just Wyn in her dress though, so there may be a follow up pic of just Wynni in her dress.
Anyway, here are some pics of the special day.

I put this picture on just because you can kinda see the dress. Otherwise it just looks like I'm squishing Wyn. I probably was. Look at her face!

Then we took a nap. Wyn is just in her tights and a onsie. Cute!

Official Owners of a Two Year Old

It's hard to believe our little man is 2! His birthday was yesterday and although he was excited about cupcakes, balloons, and presents I think I was more excited. We had a fun day together. Kenny had the day off which was excellent! Here are a few pics of our big, little man.
Starting the day off with his favorite breakfast. Chex!
Daddy and our little Wynni Woo (Kenny does not approve of that nickname, but I can't help it!) sleeping on the couch while Myles and I had breakfast. :)

He's starting to get the hang of opening presents, which is so fun!

We had a very "Cars" birthday, which I think we'll be having for the next few years. We even had wheel noodles for lunch!
He loved his Lightning McQueen candle! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Ludwig! He kept saying, "Turn candle on."

He actually ate his cup cake! Well okay, he ate the frosting, but dang it that's progress for a boy who won't touch anything that remotely looks like bread.

Frosting face!

We sure love our little man and feel blessed that he's in our lives!

A Visit From Grandma Baird!

We were fortunate enough to have my mom come and take care of Myles for us while we were in the hospital having Wyn. Kenny and I were so nervous to leave Myles. We knew my mom would do a great job, but we'd never left him before, and he takes his time warming up to people. Anyway, things went perfectly. My mom, of course, did such a great job with Myles and he warmed up to her quicker than we were even hoping for. Such a relief!! It was great to have her here! Thanks for coming Grandma! We miss you!

Myles didn't want to be near his baby sister quite yet so we had to do this...
There's a smile!

And we made our haunted houses again for Myles' "big brother" party. It was a good time!
