My Cake Boss :)

My dear-heart of a husband is without a doubt the most talented person I know. His greatest talent is acquiring or learning whatever skill or talent he wants to in little or no time at all. There are days where he literally wakes up and says, "I want to learn how to do..." And then that day he learns how to do it and do it well. A few weeks ago, he woke up saying he wanted to make a cake for his boss' 20 year anniversary with the company. Kenny and I both have been wanting to try our hand at cake decorating, especially using fondant. Well, Kenny woke up and did it. He wouldn't even let me help with this. This was all him. He made a lemon pound cake. So yummy! He didn't make the frosting or the fondant, but just wait till our next post! :)
My Cake Boss! :)

Isn't he amazing in the baking department?! I have to say this...I AM KATNISS!!! Not because I can shoot a bow and arrow or anything (although that'd be awesome), but because my husband is an awesome baker just like PEETA!! :) (If at this point you are lost because you have no idea who Katniss or Peeta are then get your booty to your local library and check out The Hunger Games. It's a delicious read!!) Happy Baking!! Stay tuned for more cakes! Katniss even gets in the kitchen in future posts! :)

Visitors!!!

In March we had visitors come to Walla Walla!! We were excited, because we don't get too many visitors out our way. (Hint, hint...come and visit!) My brother Brigham came with his sweet family. Brig and I had such a fun time going to college together. And after we both got married it got even more fun going on double dates and hanging out all together. I've missed hanging out with Brigham and Tyra! Thanks so much for coming guys!! Walla Walla loves you! Here are some of the highlights of their visit.
Mario Cart!

Yes, Lliam is sitting on the bumbo chair. He called it his "racing" chair!

All the cousins were super sweet with Wyn and Myles. Whenever I would put Wyn down, Lliam would come over and show her a toy. So sweet!

While the babes were all tucked away in their beds we ROCKED out!!! Brig and Ty had never played Guitar Hero before, so of course we had to introduce them to it. And they fell in love with it!! Brig and I would trade off singing. Kenny was mostly on guitar and Tyra was a born drummer! We started having competitions of who could have the best duet! Tyra and I won naturally :), but Kenny and Brig were so hilarious. I'm pretty sure either one could replace David Bowie completely!
Brig with vocals, Ty on guitar and man, I'm a stiff looking drummer. Loosen up! :)

More Mario Cart races!

Outside with the cousins!

Myles and his mower.

Myles and Phoebe discovering mud puddles together.
Phoebe and Nedra discovering our Lightning McQueen four-wheeler.
And little Pheebs blowing bubbles.

I LOVE this picture!

It was complete luck that I got it, but man she's so darn sweet!

I promise we didn't just play video games. We explored Walla Walla too. I can't find my other pics though. Anyhow, thanks for coming Brig and Ty! We love you guys!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

The day is finally here!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! We've had a good day except that we're all sick. We're trying not to let our sickness dampen our St. Patty's Day spirit. Myles and Wyn had two leprechauns come to our house that left them a treasure hunt. For future notice, Leppy and Lucy (their leprechauns) need to know that sick 2 two year olds and 4 month olds don't care about treasure hunts so much. Oh well though! :) It's been a pretty fun day, but we're all hoping for good sleep tonight :)

My GREEN hair!
Myles thought it was funny for a minute then just asked me to take it off.

Kenny not wearing GREEN. I might pinch him, but kinda feel too bad to do that while he's sick. And little Wynni. She loves her daddy! And I should add that Kenny didn't know he was robbing the DI truck for our GREEN chair. He had never thought of it like that. He wanted me to clear that up. :)

Myles in mid-cough showing us his treasure.

The treasure! These pics are out of order, but I'm too tired to fix them.

Finding clue#2

Leppy and Lucy's first clue. They left candy peas and carrotts along the way.

Hope you all had a great GREEN day!!!

Green Workout, Green Snot, and The Scandal of the Green Chair!

Lots of GREEN caught my eye today!

My GREEN workout!
My GREEN weight band.
I did Ab Ripper on my GREEN yoga mat!

And during my Biggest Loser workout I used these GREEN bean cans because I don't have any hand weights.
Despite all of our GREEN appreciation this week we haven't been very lucky. We've been hit with a nasty cold! Last night was quite a night and I woke up to GREEN snotted children. Poor babies! :(

Other random GREEN things:
My GREEN key that Kenny made for me at Home Depot. This way I can tell it apart from my other keys!

Kenny's GREEN toothbrush.
I had to post something of Kenny's because last night he took me on a surprise date to the Backstage Bistro in good ol' Walla town. Thanks to our wonderful friends for taking care of our babes! It was so nice to get out with just him. And I'm pretty sure he brushed his teeth with this very toothbrush right before we left! :)

THE SCANDAL OF THE GREEN CHAIR
Okay, so although this story is embarrassing to me, it wasn't very fair of me to mention it in my post yesterday and not share it. So here goes.
Back when we lived in Oregon, Kenny took some of our things we didn't want anymore to a D.I. truck. When he came home, he brought this chair with him. He was so excited. I asked him where in the world he got it and he was like, "I just pulled it out of the D.I. truck." I told him that I was pretty sure we weren't supposed to do that. I've seen signs outside of Goodwill that say it's illegal to take anything from the truck. Anyway, so there you have it. Kenny robbed a D.I. truck! And obviously, I didn't feel bad enough about it, because I'm sitting in it as I type. Someday I'm sure we'll give it back to D.I.! :)

See you tomorrow for some extraordinary GREEN fun! And hopefully tonight we'll be much luckier and have a restful night without much GREEN snot!

Green, green, GREEN!

Here are some more green things around our house that we LOVE!

Our GREEN D.I. Chair!
Actually, this is Kenny's computer chair. We all love this chair, and when other kids come over they usually want to spin in it. It's a great chair. We got it from D.I. Well, sort of. I'm a little embarrassed of how Kenny actually acquired the chair, so I will forego that story! :)

Favorite GREEN videos!
These green movies helped teach Myles his letters and how to skip count. They're great!

Our GREEN drum!
Whenver we play Band Hero and I'm on drums, this green drum is the hardest for me to hit at the right moment. However, whenever I do hit it I feel awesome! Cheers to awesomeness!!

YAY for another GREEN day!!!

All the GREEN things

I'm thinking that St. Patrick's Day is highly under-celebrated. So this year we're doing a St. Patrick's Week! And in honor of our special week I'll be taking pics of all of our favorite green things that make our house go 'round! :) For today, I found some of the kids' favorite toys that are green.

Where would we be without an airplane, a bunny mirror, and a tractor? The possibilities are endless!

Have a LUCKY day! :)

Wyn at 4 months!!

It's hard to believe my little Wyn Aubrey is 4 months already! She's been such a joy to us. She is such a patient little girl, for which I am truly grateful. It actually makes me feel really guilty somedays to see her sitting in her bouncer patiently watching me cook or clean.
We love to play with her because she gives us lots of smiles and coos. She's a drool monkey and I'm just hoping she's not getting teeth yet! :) Something she absolutely loves is watching Myles. If she hears him in the room she looks around until she can see him. It's so sweet how much she adores him. Something she's working on is going to sleep without crying. Some nights she goes right down without a peep and others she just wails. It's been a little rough, but I know she'll get it in time. She is teaching her mommy some patience. :)
Her stats at 4 months are: 24 inches long and the nurse said 13 lbs. 10 oz. But the doctor said 13 lbs. 6 oz. So somewhere in the 13's! The nurse actually cut off an inch and 3/4 of her height the first time we measured her, so we'll go with what the doctor says! :)

Anyway, we're so grateful to have this sweet little lady in our lives. WE LOVE OUR WYNNI WOO! Myles calls her Wynni Wooble.
Here are some pics of the sweet cheeks she's got. :)

When Wynni met Caterpillar

Can't get enough of the bumbo pics.

Just the girls!
